Counselling

Our minds, bodies and emotions are interconnected, and reproductive health can deeply impact both our physical and emotional well-being

Conversations around hormonal health, reproductive challenges, and physical concerns such as pelvic issues, endometriosis, or changes in sexual health can sometimes be hard to have with others.

These experiences are deeply personal, and it can feel isolating when others don’t fully understand what you’re going through. I offer holistic counselling to support women’s unique needs across the lifespan, using a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to address sensitive issues. Together, we can find solutions so you feel balanced, empowered, and at ease.

Women's Health Counselling Mental health support for reporductive & hormonal health

Women often face unique mental health challenges connected to hormonal changes and reproductive health. The physical challenges associated with these experiences can have a profound emotional impact, and vice versa. Hormonal fluctuations and reproductive health transitions can deeply affect mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life.

In addition to providing perinatal mental health counselling, I provide compassionate, specialized support for a range of concerns.

Hormone-related issues:

  • PMS
  • PMDD
  • Perimenopause and menopause

Mental and physical health related to surgeries and medical treatments:

  • Reproductive or gynecological surgeries such as hysterectomy, endometriosis or prolapse
  • Body image concerns tied to pregnancy, childbirth, pelvic floor issues, and more

PMS and PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) can bring significant emotional and physical challenges that affect your daily life. Symptoms include severe mood swings, irritability, intense sadness or depression, anxiety, fatigue, trouble sleeping, changes in appetite, bloating, headaches, joint or muscle pain, and difficulty concentrating.

For those with PMDD, these symptoms can be debilitating, interfering with work, relationships, and overall well-being. Counselling offers a supportive space to explore the impact of these symptoms, identify triggers, and develop personalized strategies to manage emotional fluctuations, stress, and other difficulties.

Endometriosis can cause chronic pain, heavy menstrual bleeding, fatigue, and emotional distress, often affecting daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. Counselling for endometriosis offers a safe space to address the emotional and psychological impact of living with this condition.

Together, we’ll explore ways to cope with pain, manage feelings of frustration or isolation, and work toward improving your emotional resilience. You’ll gain support in navigating the challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and the ongoing impact of endometriosis on your life

Menopause and perimenopause are deeply personal experiences, and the physical and emotional challenges they bring can sometimes feel difficult to share. Many women struggle with symptoms like mood swings, anxiety, hot flashes, and sleep disturbances, while navigating changes in identity, relationships, and self-image.

I aim to create a space where open, honest conversations about menopause and perimenopause are normalized, helping you feel comfortable and supported through this transition.

Pregnancy, pelvic floor issues, and menopause can profoundly affect body image, leading to feelings of discomfort, self-consciousness, or disconnection from one’s body. During our counselling sessions we can explore these feelings and work toward healing.

Whether navigating physical changes during pregnancy, managing pelvic floor concerns, or adjusting to the changes menopause brings, body image counselling helps you rebuild self-acceptance, address any emotional challenges, and foster a positive relationship with your body. Together, we can work on cultivating body confidence during these significant life transitions.

Undergoing a hysterectomy or pelvic floor surgery can be life-changing, impacting not only your physical health but also your emotional well-being. I offer support to help you navigate the emotional challenges that can arise before, during, and after surgery.

Whether you’re processing feelings of loss, adjusting to physical changes, or managing body image concerns, we can address the impact of your experience and guide you toward healing.
